New store opening Temescal
The opening of the Temescal store was a huge endeavor. We were a small team of five mostly new Team members. The footprint was small and was expected to be a high volume store.
• One of our first innovations was a three-way floor stand it saved a lot of floor space. We combined three posters we normally have at the entrance to one freestanding tactic.
• I designed a special program in the whole body department for curly hair.
• I designed decor calling out Whole Foods Market's Quality standards.
• We partnered with Creativity Explored to develop the art for the opening tote bag and Tee shirts. The studio-based collective nurtures the creativity of developmentally disabled artists, and the product was indeed a labor of local love. So loved we used the design for the next two store openings.
